Craig’s real estate career spans nearly four decades.  In 1979 he founded Read Commercial Properties, Inc.  As President and CEO, Craig is responsible for and participates in all areas of RCP’s operations.  He is a “hands-on” leader who enjoys staying attuned to his client and meeting all their real estate needs.

 

His understanding of commercial real estate complexities stems from his national experience in property management, development, financing and construction processes. He is a co-founder of Construction Solutions, Inc., a construction company holding a class “A” general contractor’s license.

 

Bringing value to a lease or purchase negotiation takes skill and experience.  Throughout Craig’s career, he has been part of thousands of negotiations.  He understands the numbers and how they affect the transaction. Craig brings experience, knowledge and an insider’s perspective to every transaction.

 

Craig is a community leader as shown by his many achievements:

 

• Past President of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the National Association of Industrial Office Parks (NAIOP).

• Founding member, past Chairman and member of the executive committee of the Virginia Association of Commercial Real Estate (VACRE).

• Board of Directors and member of the executive committee of the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE).

• Past member of the International Conference of Shopping Centers.

• Current member of the Rotary Club of Oyster Point.

• Past member of the Board of Directors for Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, Peninsula Economic Development Council, The Leukemia Society of Virginia, and Commerce Bank.

• Past Chairman of the Virginia Peninsula Port Authority
