Rich is a 40-year veteran in the restaurant industry.  During many years as a corporate executive of a New York Stock Exchange food service corporation and during glory days of the fast food industry, he was responsible for the acquisition of commercial sites from the Rockies to the east coast.

In 1980, he became an entrepreneur on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where he operated four successful restaurants.  At the same time he was a business consultant for several hotels and restaurants from Philadelphia to New Smyrna, Florida.

Rich attended Rutgers and Temple Universities and studied Liberal Arts and Science.

In 1999, while on a consulting project, Rich met the owners of the Sunbelt Business Broker franchise in southeastern Virginia.  He joined them to assist with the analysis and sales of business listings.

• Awarded “Expert” status by the Business Broker’s Guide Book for the Industry of Food Service/Restaurants for four consecutive years.

• National recognition by the Sunbelt Business Brokers Franchise System in 2006 for $5 million in business sales.

• Successfully operated four restaurants in the Outer Banks, NC.

• National experience as a business consultant.

• Responsible for the acquisition of more than 200 commercial sites.

• Past member of the Washington DC Restaurant Association and Chairperson of the Finance Committee

• Past member and Chairperson of the Outer Banks Cancer Research Foundation Finance Committee.
